Main articles: Bread and Meatloaf

A loaf is a shaped, usually rounded or oblong, mass of food. It may refer to a bread or other moulded foods, such as meatloaf.1

The term "loaf" sometimes refers to "head" from the rhyming slang "loaf of bread" (as in "use your loaf" instead of "use your head").2
